God’s Help In Dealing With Anxiety

Finding Peace Through Faith

When you are suffering from anxiety, depression or frustration there is no physical elixir you can ingest to wash all those troubles away. But there is another remedy that is fool proof. If you call upon the Lord during those dark moments of despair, he will throw a lifeline out to pull you from the jaws of despair. There are many scriptures that can be used as your shield for the cares of this world when they become overwhelming. Here is a scripture that can offer you comfort.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” — Philippians 4:6

It suggests and affirms that God is with you in all situations. That omnipotent God embraces your worries and let’s you know that he can handle anything. And with his help you can trudge through the world that has many large obstacles that you must circumnavigate. He can help you devise a plan that will thwart the efforts of the evil one and put you on the track of success.

When we surrender our concerns to God, we make room for His peace to calm our hearts and light the path ahead of us. We need to rely upon him and that why’s the phrase “a lamp unto my feet” is so powerful. God wants us to trust in him so much that he will light the path in the darkness just far enough ahead for you to continue on the path. He wants you to rely on him and he will guide the steps to your destination. Here is a scripture to lean upon.

Psalm 55:22

“Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you.”

God wants to be fully involved in your life. That includes all your problems, personal relationships, job, family-yes everything. Life can be so complicated and throw a multitude of issues your direction. Yes, it can become overwhelming. It’s not a situation that you want to handle by yourself. If you have car problems you hire a mechanic. If you need things fixed on your house you hire a handyman. So, doesn’t it make sense to have a relationship with the person who created everything, including you and wants nothing but the best for you?

So, open your arms and embrace your God and bring him into your life. You only get so much time on this planet and if you haven’t followed the narrow path by claiming him as Lord and Savior, you could run out of time. There are no mulligans related to God.

Isaiah 41:10

“Fear not, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.”

He will not stop loving you and wants your love in return, so remember this scripture. He’s always on call and he won’t charge you a cent. He wants everyone to be with him in heaven. He has made a place for you and is counting down the time until he can meet you.

So be in his word, pray to him and be in his house on Sunday. It will revolutionize your life.
